Cutting The Outline

Using a jigsaw, I make a rough cut of the outline, going about an 1/8th in. outside my pencil lines.

Cutting The Rocker & Tracing the Outline

The blank is cut out and the rocker templates were removed. I now trace out the outline on the bottom of the blank.

Transferring Templates From Paper to Wood

I then took the paper templates and transferred them onto 1/8 plywood. The 2 rocker templates are screwed onto each side of the eps foam block. They are used as a guide for the hotwire cutter.

Converting your Outline to Full Size

I took the outline from the .pdf and enlarged it to full size using adobe illustrator. The horizontal lines are used to align each sheet of paper. After I print the outline, I carefully cut out each sheet of paper and piece them together to form the full template.

Designing Your Outline

This is my first post showing a step by step process to building a stand up paddle board. Here is my starting template. I designed it using a free cad program online. http://www.akushaper.com/ Then exported it as a .pdf.
